The Black Colonial:

Picture

The story of an African boy, born into wealth in his village, whose father had great ideas for his son’s future.  The father, The High Chief of the Cobuki tribe in Northern Romanbasque was educated by life, his Elders and the occasional visiting preacher.  His son would have all the benefits that his father was in a position to provide for him. Antonio Thika would receive an education from the hard work of his people and then could repay the people with his knowledge gained through this education.  Antonio a good scholar would gain all that his father dreamt of but would have other ideas for the future of not just his people of the village but for the whole of the country of Romanbasque.

Review:

This is a delightful book that may be read from two different points of view. In the first place, it is a tale of a young African boy and his subsequent adventures in the wider world.

The other aspect is a story about a young man growing up in an African village, who is corrupted when he travels to the materialistic West.

No matter how you approach the book it is a delightful read, written by a man who has vast knowledge of Africa and Africans.

There is a third approach to this book. Is this book telling a true story of Modern Africa?

You, the reader, may come to your own conclusions.
